Outdoor Learning Area for All

“grow to learn, learn to grow”
During the summer holidays of August 2015, the area outside foundation and year 1  was totally revamped from the tired, run down, shabby, muddy space to the new and exciting outdoor learning area for all!  It has proved to be the most extensive refurbishment since the school became a full primary in September 2012.  With much needed support from the National Lottery and a generous donation from the PTFA we were able to replace the existing inadequate corrugated roofing with a state of the art polycarbonate canopy.  It covers most of the area creating an outdoor ‘room’ protected from the elements all year round.  New flooring has been laid using recycled tyres, the walls painted in white and the woodwork painted in Ditton Lodge purple!  The Gazebo had a facelift and was repositioned near the playground.

Sincere thanks to those who helped with the project.
